Rear mirror

Hi there folks,
I have a dumb question to ask and i hope I not the only one that has wondered this. In the back window of my RV there is a stick on mirror type thing. What i would like to know is what is the actual name of it? I want to replace mine but i cant locate it if i have no idea what its called. Thanks- Mike

Could you be referring to a Rear Window Wide Angle Lens? Some times they are called a Rear Window Magnifier. You can google;

RV rear window magnifier

for some links.

Our old unit had one, the unit we have now does not have a rear window.

Probably a "Fresnell Lens". It produces a wide angle view. It should allow you to see what might be directly below the window. Some people use them on the PS window to see if there blind spot is clear.

Search for CIPA Lens on amazon. I bought one last year. The largest one is only $12. Easy to install and it helps. Not as nice as a rear camera but I can see my towed rig and cars behind me while driving.
