Recommendations on Roadside Assistance Companies

Who all do you use for roadside assistance? I'm currently in California and already have AAA. I believe they offer RV roadside assistance with one of their plans.

Anyone else I should consider? Benefits?

I joined AAA about 17 days ago to be exact. Called 2 days ago to ask a question about the RV coverage. The guy in the phone told me they don't do RV coverage anymore which was the only reason I got it in the first place. I asked who I could get for coverage and he said try Good Sam. Looked them up and got the Platinum coverage for $104 for the first year. That covers all family memebers, kids under 25 in my house, multiple RV's, motorcycles, cars, trailers rentals etc. Check them out, discounts on hotels, repair parts, and a list of a lot of other things. Got way more from Good Sam than I ever would have from AAA. Good luck! By the way I cancelled AAA right after I signed up with Good Sam!

+1. After reading all of the complaints about GS assistance on the GS forum and reading between the lines and seeing that it is more of training and staffing issues than service providers.

Coach Net - I've used them twice to tow cars and once for a mobile mechanic to come fix my RV (serpentine belt) along the road - all 3 times it was great - quality service and I'm a happy customer.

AAA left me stranded outside of Vegas when I had a blow out on the inside rear of my Class C. I went with Good Sam after my trip and had two more blowouts (turns out my tires had been subject to a recall) and they were there to help almost before I hung up with their dispatcher.
AAA can suck eggs as far as I'm concerned at least as far as RV coverage. Auto assistance was always pretty good though.

I have GS and last October broke down on I-40 twenty miles west of Amarillo on a Saturday morning. Called GS and 90 minutes later we were sitting in the parking lot of Tri-State Ford. Good not ask for any better service.

We have been with CoachNet since 2008 and have had good luck with them. They cover your tow vehicle as well.
