Refrigerator starts then shuts down

I noticed lately that my refrigerator has been difficult to start up on gas, but now will not stay lit at all. The igniter works...the flame is good, but in 10 seconds the small solenoid shuts down and everything goes off. I thought it might be a bad thermocouple, but can't see one. Any ideas? I'm drinking hot beer. Help!

I had a similar problem recently - the flame looked good but there was a clicking sound that sounded like the igniter kept trying to light the flame. Turned out that some brownish ash looking stuff had acccumulated on the burner tube which was causing the flame to split around the probe. Cleaning the stuff off the burner tube fixed it. I also vacuumed the stuff out below the tube. Good luck.

The "probe"? Other than the igniter with the red wire attached to it I don't see anything that looks like a probe. My igniter glows red in the flame so I know the flame isn't splitting and going around it.
I did get everything vacuumed out and the compartment looks nice.
So, where is the probe?

refer not working on gas

the ignitor is also the probe I would try sanding the ignitor it makes a path to ground through the flame if that doesan,t work you probably need a new board

I'm getting good ignition at the burner, but after 10 seconds or so I hear the gas solenoid valve click off. The red X comes on with the word "Check", but during the 10 second cycle at the burner the igniter continues to arc until the solenoid valve shuts down. Everything seems to be working perfectly, so it's beginning to sound like it's going to be the expensive control board. Whaddya think?

I think you may be right.

BTW, most RV part stores/shops have a "board tester".
A RV dealer near my home has tested my refrigerator board, (which tested good), and my furnace board (which tested bad), at no charge.
