Replace dinette seats with automotive seats

The title says it all: Has anyone here replaced their dinette bench seats with automotive seats? Saw a Solara in Quartzsite where the owner had done that mod and it looked like a very comfortable seating arrangement.

Just wanted to ask questions of someone who has done it.

We replaced ours with top of the line Herman Miller Aeron office chairs purchased from a company going out of business. Very comfortable, they fit find. The wheels work well but are a little hard to get up over the slide lip.

All the electrical stuff is under one of my dinette seats. Ended up buying the best kitchen floor mats I could find and cut them to size. I then put them under the lousy dinette cushions. Sitting at the computer is no longer a pain.

Replaced my whole table area with a reclining love set and I love the heck out of it.
