Request for advice

Hello fellow RV'ers
I am seeking opinions/advice on the best place to post an ad for selling a class c motorhome? Consignment lot wants 10%. Craigslist, Facebook marketplace, RV trader? Other ideas? Moving across country and not financially feasible for her to go with us. Thank you for your wise opinions

I hate selling anything especially vehicles. Tire kickers, people that just want to go for a ride. Some yahoo wants to burn up 1/4 tank of gas and then offer half of asking price. No test drive with me unless a price has been agreed on and the sale is contingent on the test drive.

I will look into consignment, if I sell mine.

You can start by placing the AD in the classifieds forum here. It is free to members.

To help identify scammers, put a statement in your ad "Do not ask if available, if it is listed it is available, will delete ad when sold". Most scammers do not actually read the ad and will ask if available and want a response by email so they get your email address.

This is especially helpful if you list on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace

I have gotten a couple of hits on FB, zero on CL. All the rest are from RV Trader. Didn't post on RVT.

I would post in the free Classifieds here on IRV2, on RVTrader.com, and on Craigslist. Just be prepared for all the scammers on Craigslist!

I would state in each ad "I can only accept a direct transfer of funds between your bank and mine, NO EXCEPTIONS". That will get rid of most of the scammers!
