running class c genny question

i own a four winds 2007 majestic 23a.
I would like to run the generator while driving (ac).
If the generator charges the house battery when running, and the engine alternator charges both batteries, could that cause a problem.
it seems that i would be connecting both across the same battery.
Thanks in Advance
edr

That causes no problem(s) on my class A diesel.

On my own Class C I put the converter on it's own circuit breaker so that I can turn it off.

But, like Mel said it's probably not an issue and many people do it. Running the genset while driving is part of the design of the MH

I have 15,000 watts on my generator output running all 3 roof airs and anything else the boss turns on- that is what it is designed for, crank it up- and stay cool going down the road

The coach is built to do this. Running the Gen and driving is done by 100's each day in the hot weather to run the A/C's.

That's handled by the power control center, it automatically selects what source to use, When on shore power or the genset, the house battery is charged from those sources. The coach battery is only charged from the alternator, which is why you need a float charger on the coach battery even if stored and plugged in.

When driving both the house battery and the coach battery are charged from the alternator, unless the genset is running. At least thats how it works on our unit.

It will be OK Ed. The RV knows what to charge and what not to charge....and when...and how.
