Question Shipping Overseas

I'm looking for some advice on shipping my 31' RV from the US to Costa Rica. I've looking at driving... but ... some of the areas one has to transverse seem to be pretty dangerous, especially for 'gringos'.

I've been able to ship a car for New Orleans to Puerto Rico and it was pretty straight forward. Of course that was 20+ years ago...

Anyone out there that's had experience or knows anything about this issue?

I googled "roro shipping from us to costa rica" (without the quotes) and got many possibilities, the first one looks very promising, as it is out of Port of Savannah.

I noticed in Panama City Panama they have all our old school buses being used for transit. They said they are all driven there. It would be a great adventure as long as they didn’t kill you along the way.

There used to be a train with flat cars. They would load you up on one and strap you down. Then the train did the driving while you just watched. They had stops along the way to look at.
Today, I believe it to be to dangerous to leave this country.
$50.00 bucks is enough to get you killed.
