Shower P trap leak

OK, my wife and I are not small people to start wih. I have been fighting a problem of the shower p trap leaking. It seems it may be due to some flex in shower stall. I have tried to do additional bracing with rigid foam slab cut to fit. The p trap is a friction fit stylr that pops loose and also I am unable to get it tight enough to not leak. Thinking of maybe flexible rubber ptrap with clamps. Anyone else struggled with this issue?.

Is it the P trap, or is it the shower flange? Or maybe the plumbing to the faucet? There's lots of things in that area that can leak too.

Definitely the ptrap. Several times I have found it separated completely. Other times with person in shower, water leaking out of ptap connection. Unable to tighten enough.

I would definitely replace the p trap then. It's threads may be stripped.

Well I removed it and found part of thread broken off. Boy that little space is just bearly karge enough for your fist but no tools. So, mobile home place had exact replacement. Now will wait a day to make sure it is seated before putting wife in shower with bucket of water. Also looking at bracing the shower floor more before hand. However, as said, not much maneuver room.
