Side view camera installation

I have a Winnebago Cambria Class C motorhome and have a new Rear View Safety Rear and side View Camera. I can install the rear view camera but the two side view cameras don't have any instructions on where to mount them. My purpose is to eliminate the blind spot on both sides of the RV. I am towing s CJ 5 Jeep also.

IMO because they need to be mounted on the sides of the RV house to enable you to see into the blind spot along the sides of the coach, (not near the front of the coach as they are on class A coaches)....side view cameras are pretty much useless on class Cs.

I have to respectfully disagree with you. On our Leprechaun, the side view cameras are located on the front fender wells above the tires. Their primary purpose is to eliminate the blind spot just behind the cab and they work wonderfully for that. Anything further back gets picked up on the outside mirrors.

Side view camera's

I want to Thank You all that replied to my question concerning the side view cameras. My goal is to be able to see someone in my blind spot on either side. I hope they are a help for doing lane changes and for merging into traffic. I realize the blind spot on a class C isn't large but a small low car or motorcycle may find a blind spot on each side. I am new to this form and appreciate everyone's input.

We have a Winnebago Aspect that came with rear and side camera system. The side cameras are in the mirrors. I've attached a photo, hope it uploads

We are new to rv'ing, so I like the side cameras. I do rely on my mirrors, but the camera view is a good final check.

When I installed my rear view, I mocked it up by taping the camera to the rear in a few different places until I found one that offered the best view.

Just tape them to the side and run the cables through a window to see what position works best (maybe don't drive with them though, unless you use really good tape).

Hello!
For your purpose I would install your side cameras on the over the wheel well on both sides, as shown in the image below. This will eliminate blind spots.

Good luck!

Tyler
