Slide out stuck in the open position.

We planned to leave from Va to Fl tomorrow but my slideout is suddenly stuck on my 2011 Winnebago access. I was getting the rv ready yesterday and while washing the rv, I tried to move the slide in but got nothing. The red and green light on the touch pad are flashing. I never had problems with the slide before.I called Winnebago and we had no success so far. We may have to delay or cancel our vacation.

What type of slide out is this?

Slide sticking

I just read about that issue in my owner’s manual. They all have a hand crank to close them...look through your Slide out op manual. There's a gentleman that I subscribe to who does tons of YouTube videos and he dealt with that and recommends everyone read how to manually crank yours in..try this link

Thank you for your suggestions. I managed to get the slide out back in manually.....from underneath the RV using a socket wrench. A little difficult to do alone but definitely doable. I'm glad I now know how to do this in case it ever happens again. I took the RV in for service to repair the slide.....probably an electronic issue according to Winnebago tech.

Could be a loose ground wire on the slide motor.

Just an FYI, regarding a slider that won't travel: I was having a terrible time with my big slide out--it wasn't coming completely in. Turns out an undercarriage bracket had popped and some cabling had dropped onto the sensor. Easy fix. But a crazy lesson learned!
