Check the u trap under the sink. It may need cleaning out. Some drain cleaner may help but make sure it is plastic friendly.

may need to see if water stays in trap to block sewer gas...

Look for a wet/damp wash cloth on the back or in the sink.

Loraco, had the same problem in class C. Grey water vent went into cabinet under sink and the vent on top of stack would not shut good. couple bucks fixed it

It probably is as previously noted, the water in the trap is being drawn out of the trap while you are traveling. It happens with shower traps also. Keeping a plug in the sink will work but this is a temporary fix. If the roof vent is located behind a roof pod this will also make a vaccume possibly and suck the water out of the drain trap.
