Swivel Driver/passenger seats

We are looking at a Winnebago Minnie Winnie 26a, used. Winnebagos website lists swiveling seats as an option.

Has anyone done a conversion from fixed to swivel? Any ideas of companies that would make the hardware other than buying direct from Winnebago?

This would really make this a nice unit if this could be accomplished. Doesn’t seem that hard. Thanks.

I had a Minnie Winnie and looked into this. There are some sites that offer a seat swivel on the internet that you can install on Ford seats. However, beware, depending upon your floor plant that you might have a partial wall in the way of swiveling the seat on one or both sides. You also need to be careful with the wiring that goes to each seat. I never ended up doing it. I got a bigger coach. Swivel seats are a must in my opinion.

I did it with my 2018 Minnie Winnie 31G. I bought the bases from Winnebago. As good as any other price i found. Direct bolt with factory seats with all accommodations for factory wiring. Around $225 each. Took less than an hour for me to do the swap.

If you do it, you will be pleased. Mine has them and it is very nice to be able to swivel them.

A swiveling passenger seat is nice to have as long as your floor plan can accommodate it.

Our passenger seat shown here, the seat belt/air bag detection wiring happens to have enough length to accommodate the swivel motion. We generally swivel the passenger seat when we have guests inside while at a campsite. But we don't bother when just the two of us.

Our dinette prevents having a driver swivel seat. By luck, the front dinette bench makes a perfect ottoman for the 3rd seat. Adjust the seat away from the wall, closer to the dinette, and it's perfect.
