I see no replies...so will offer some highlights and suggest a thread move to the Thor owner's forum.
If you want your thread moved, just ask.

About Thor...it is dozens of brands from AirStream to Coleman poptops (like the lantern).

Thor Motor Coach is the sum of FourWinds Int'l, Damon Motor Coach, and Mandalay Luxury Coach...merged in 2010 offering everything from luxury Class A's to B plus, C's and Super C's.

The Chateau and FourWinds lines (duplicate lines) were the best selling Class C's in North America last year, and possibly again as 2015 closes:

These RV's have an option of no decals (decals will fail over time) with the HDMax finish...which is tinted gelcoat. The color goes thru the finish to reduce color failure.

These RV's are built on Ford and Chevy cab/chassis to allow an additional level of buyer selection.

Stand equipment includes 8,000lb hitch, rotocast (high impact poly) bins, LED interor lighting, and Denver (hopitality industry) mattress.

The cab/chassis will be duplicate in any brand (unless the chassis is an Eurovan like the Sprinter/Transit/ProMaster) so the differences will be in the house. Compare with other brands to see what YOU like...that's what is important.

Best luck

Hi Hikerbuddy.

We have a Four winds Majestic 28A which is very similar only made for Cruise America for rental units.

Ours is a 2006 and we purchased used from Cruise America. In 2012.

I drive ours with out DH on long cross country trips to go to dog shows, plus we camp all over the PNW and lived in it for 7 ms.

To date we've had zero mechanical or system issues.

I did replace a sewer valve when on a trip from WA to OH last year but was able to do so myself.

My plan is to upgrade to Thor Outlaw in 2 yrs.

There are a few brands with a higher interior finish quality but I couldn't see spending the extra money for nicer cabinets than my sticks n bricks house 😀
