Thor Class C Motorhomes

Is anyone familiar with Thor? A friend is getting interested in a Thor Class C toyhauler. I know nothing about them.

Just sold my Thor 24ft class C. Good unit over-all. They did cheap-out on a few things though. Edge molding was plastic pieces, the Formica table top came unglued at year 2.. nothing big though. Never had any big problems.

We have a 2015 Thor Outlaw. Had a few problems at first. Dealer has repaired all concerns. Had to add rear track bar and steering stabilizer (safe-t-plus) to make it drive better. Overall very happy with unit.

we have a Thor 23U, 12 months and 14000 miles and are very pleased. It certainly does not have the fit and finish of our Newmar class A, but I could buy 4 or them for the price of one Newmar!

We have a 2014 Thor Four Winds 31F. About 6,000 miles and no serious issues at all. The dinette seat cushion material is not wearing well, so taking it in next week for Camping World to inspect. Don't care for stiff jackknife sofas, so we are awaiting delivery of new Deleon double recliners. Excited for some comfy relaxation at night.

We just bought our 2015 Four Winds 31L in February. Been out a couple of times so far. No major issues and I've only found a few head-scratching issues, which I just fixed myself.

It has Seiki TV in it that is bad. Pulling that today and hauling back to dealer for warranty replacement. No telling how long that will take!

Overall, we love this unit and are really happy with it!

We have the (2014) 35SK Four Winds Super C and love it. All of our issues have been minor and taken care of by the dealership.

As far as anyone being familiar with Thor, they have been around for 30 plus years. They are one of the largest builders of RVs in the country. They are the parent company for probably dozens of different brands of just about every class of RV.

Here are some of their holdings.

You cannot beat the customer service from Thor. We had an issue with electrical that local repair guys could not find. I called Thor and gave them the vin# and they walked me through the repair on the telephone.

We will be picking up our new 2016 Thor Four Winds 33SW Super C on Tuesday. We're downsizing from a 42' Travel Supreme. We chose the Super C because we definitely wanted diesel, and the smaller length will enable us to get into State and National parks that were problematic with the Class A. We chose Thor because we liked the quality and layout, just right for two people. The only thing that Thor messed up on is not insisting that Ford provide the new F550 cab (as compared to the 2015 Ford cab). Ford now puts a middle seat/armrest in the cab, preventing passenger and driver to enter the motorhome without exiting the cab (especially nice if the weather is bad). We will consider removing the middle seat and living without armrests. Shame on Ford.
