travel to cross over the blue ridge mountains

we have a winnabago View and want to travel home to ashburn va by way of 81 north but were wondering about the snow on the mountain road
over the blue ridge. we stoped in crozet, va. for rest..

I just checked the live feeds for the traffic cameras on I-81, and the road looks good. Here's a link, if you want to look for yourself:

National Traffic and Road Closure Information

You can also call 511 on your cellphone

Interstates tend to stay in better shape. But you do need to watch the weather advisories (I use www.wunderground.com) for storm systems that are moving in. Often the only accumulation will be in the higher mountains.
