Question Trouble replacing slide out awning

I purchased a new awning for my slide out (A&E) on Ebay. I tried yesterday to do the job, but the existing awning won't budge. I extended the slide, we unrolled the awning and I used a screw driver to keep it unrolled. Unscrewed and removed the anti-billowing device and the two screws on the rail on the MH. Tried to slide the awning out and it won't move at all on the roller side. What am I not doing right? Thanks

Did you remove one or both end caps? If your channel goes through the end cap, that one is ok. Sometimes the polycord is trapped by the end caps. If you remove the end caps be careful. It is spring loaded and will get you if you are not prepared. If you need to remove the end caps let me know and I will go into further detail. It's not bad.

On the underside of the fabric on the roller tune, A&E tapes the fabric to keep it from sliding.

I will check again, but I thought it looked like it would slide out easily. Thanks

Pin the spring side I think it is on the right end there will be a hole in the shaft use a nail or cotton pin if the tape is gone I guess it's dirt in the channel when I replaced long ones it was easier with 2 people on ladders
