Under the bed storage?

While I was checking out the slideout motor and gears today under the bed, afterwards I could not close the thin wooden platform back in place. It is held up by two small cylinders' e.g., Struts,(similar to a screen door, but smaller. ) They both seem to be locked in the fully extended position leaving the wooden sheet extended up at a 45 degree angle. What am I missing here? We own a 2004 Jayco Greyhawk 27DS. Leaving on a trip tomorrow, would like to easily put this ack in place without having to unscrew the whole mechanism. Ideas?

Problem is just good hydraulic pressure from the two struts. I have never seen locks on them. Mine are very strong, just have to put some pressure on them. You could have a different type, but most are just like the ones used in SUV hatches. Good Luck.
