Average over last 7,000 miles is 7.6 including 45 hrs of gen time. If I go by single fill-ups I've had as high as 9.7 and as low as 5.9.

2013 Jayco Redhawk 26XS 28ft long 12,500lbs loaded with 2500lb Honda Fit toad.

According to Fuelly over the last 960 miles we have averaged about 7.7 mpg. We go no more than 62MPH unless it's down hill!

8.5 on average

I get about 8.5 in my 32' Chalet with minimal gen usage. Lots of hills and keeping it at the speed limit (60-65).

Speaking of MPG, etc, what do you all think is the best all around engine to have in either a Ford or Chev (short body like 21 to 24ft) for fuel and maintenance costs?

Thanks

What year? They're both gas engines so they should be about the same in terms of maintenance costs. More info if you can provide a year that you're targeting.

Chevy seems to have a MPG advantage, but that's what I read.. Haven't owned one.

Hah! RVers are the biggest BSers in the world when it comes to MPG. Don't give me this baloney of 12-14-+++ MPGs. I don't buy it. Had same engine in Class C & did good to get 8...and that called for celebration! Nice dream pal!
