Have not driven in the mountains where I would expect 6mpg but, I am carefully watching the mpg's and still looking for the sweet spot. Understand your skepticism but, I do post what I am getting. Now when someone post 14mpg, I do question their math or methods.
When I was researching the class C, one area of concern was MPG's and one has to weed out the BS on these forums. I do admit that I am getting close to prediction, not what I want..
I will say this, I was traveling on interstate, 178 miles each way and on the outbound trip got 8.4, on the return got 9.2. I just figured I got a little real gas without ethanol..
We have one pump in town that is reported to be 100% gas, but the price is $3.99/gal. Thought about getting a tankful and checking the mileage but, have not.
Does anyone else have the opportunity to check mileage with ethanol free gas?

2004 Class C Winnie 29' would love to see 10 but have never averaged over 8.5 with V10. If anyone gets more than I would pay to know what you hooked up or any secrets.

8 mpg driving around the southwest with toad. Less if I watch the gauge and bitch about it.

I ran a survey on Fords awhile back 460 v8 and V10 replies. Threw out the lows and highs, (bad drivers and bad arithmetic) and the sweet spot was 7.4 for both engines, knock off .5 for toads.

In 2008 I went out west. Montana, Wyoming,Idaho,Colorado,Utah, etc. I drove a 35 ft Pace Arrow pulling a Honda Civic. I traveled 4863 miles and used 583 gallons of fuel. That comes to 8.33 miles per gallon. The same trip in 2009 was 6500 miles using 781 gallons. That comes out to 8.32 miles per gallon. You do the math. See if I am wrong. I drove with the cruise control set at 62 mph. I pulled all steep roads at 4000 rpm. How you drive makes a huge difference in mileage.

Just curious are those western states (back then) easier on Ethanol content?

The same 10% blend. They offered 100% gas, but it was higher. I used the 90% blend the whole trip. Also the crap about driving 60 and getting run over. I drove 55 at times because of super high winds. Not one time did I get the "finger" or someone mad at me about the speed. There were many others driving at the same speeds.
