Wandering E350/E450 and +Caster Update

It has been a few years and a few miles since I started the following thread and I thought it worthy of an update.

http://www.irv2.com/forums/f87/e350-...er-158832.html

In the beginning my 2004 28ft E450 had caster settings of LH +3.3 and RH +3.5. What I failed to take into account at the time was the effect the 1 degree nose down attitude of my RV had on the bigger picture. If I eliminated the 1 degree nose down attitude from the picture my unit would have measured LH +4.3 and RH +4.5 degrees.

This is important because it indicates my unit is much like other reported caster measurements. This, along with other reports, would suggest Ford ships these cut away vans from the factory set at +4.3 to +4.5 degrees of +caster.

So, if the Ingalls 594 sleeves were installed for max adjustable +2 degrees the end result would be LH +6.3 and RH +6.5 of run time caster IF the fore and aft attitude were nose neutral.

Keep in mind the upper specified +caster limit is about LH +6.8 and RH +7.5 degrees.
