Forget the warranty. You already have one year on the coach and 3-5 on the chassis. Class 'C's aren't that complicated and by the time something breaks, you'll have enough knowledge to fix it yourself. If you are not handy, the money you will have saved from the rip off warranty policy will pay for your repair.
Now you'll get many others here telling you how they saved big bucks by the warranty policy. I have never had any kind of extended warranty and have been an RV owner off and on for over 47 years. I see them as a big profit item sold through intimidation.

Tend to agree with nosticks. There are warrantys on your appliances and most major systems by the manufacturers of those systems. Be sure to fill out all registration forms and check the warranty duration. You may find that a service center may provide better service than your dealer

I would also agree. If you look at it a bit differently essentially the insurance company is betting you won't have any problems during the time their policy is in force. You on the other hand are betting you will have a problem, and that problem will be expensive enough to warrant buying their insurance to cover it. You are also betting that the policy you are buying will actually cover the specific item that failed.
These insurance companies have been in business long enough they know how to hedge their bets. They either charge an outrageous premium that will cover any claim plus leave them a profit, carefully craft the policy so that it doesn't cover most common problems, or pay so little for repairs the customer essentially still pays more than the insurance company does.
To me the smart move would be to put the amount of money the insurance would cost into a bank account. Even though it won't gain much interest you will still have it if you don't encounter any problems. If you do have problems the money will be available to pay for repairs.
We have had RV's going on 20 years. In that time we have put on nearly 150,000 miles. In all those years and all those miles we have never had a problem that would have justified an insurance policy to cover them.

Is your RV new or is it a previously-owned unit? If it's new, I agree with the other posters that you have manufacturer's warranties. If not brand new, what type of coverage are you considering?
Welcome to iRV2; I hope you have many happy miles in your Class C.

Welcome to the forum!
Up at the top of the page there is a search box in the green part. It is a great tool to use.
Accordingly here is a link to over 2,700 previous discussions on this subject. You don't need to read all of them, just take any five from the last month and you will have about everything you need to know.
