Bear with me. I have a new/old 2000 Itasca Spirit I just bought. I'm trying to iron out the kinks and get it on the road.

I turn the LP valve on. Flip on the water pump switch. Run the sink both hot and cold a bit. I flip on the heater switch. The light comes on. Then goes out, then comes on and goes out a few times, until it stays off. No hot water. I do have gas to the stove. The heater unit outside is cold. I know the former owner had it winterized, and all worked fine when he had it. Now a 1/2 hour later I get no heater pilot light at all. Ideas? Thanks!

The hot water unit is mostly a simple unit to inspect if you are volt/ohm meter savvy. The unit has a cover door to access the components....there is a 12 volt gas valve and a spark ignitor that has a high voltage spark box component. Here is a video that will help you trouble shoot the unit. It was very helpful in my endeavor.
