Water heater issues Itasca Spirit

Bear with me. I have a new/old 2000 Itasca Spirit I just bought. I'm trying to iron out the kinks and get it on the road.

I turn the LP valve on. Flip on the water pump switch. Run the sink both hot and cold a bit. I flip on the heater switch. The light comes on. Then goes out, then comes on and goes out a few times, until it stays off. No hot water. I do have gas to the stove. The heater unit outside is cold. I know the former owner had it winterized, and all worked fine when he had it. Now a 1/2 hour later I get no heater pilot light at all. Ideas? Thanks!

The hot water unit is mostly a simple unit to inspect if you are volt/ohm meter savvy. The unit has a cover door to access the components....there is a 12 volt gas valve and a spark ignitor that has a high voltage spark box component. Here is a video that will help you trouble shoot the unit. It was very helpful in my endeavor.

Has the bypass values that are used to drain the heater been turned to let water go throw the heater. I would check this firsst.

Turns out that a clogged tube caused a flame up that burned the fuse diode. All fixed! Thanks
