My Class C, w/5.7L V8, needs a new waterpump. I know vans be hard to
work on, but I was told labor and parts was $400....ouch. Does anybody
have any suggestions, on where to take Bessy for this repair. I need a
little more reasonable price than that. I live near I-95 and the I-10
juction, in Jerksonville, FL
I can drive her a few miles, if I fill the radiator with water before I leave.
But don't think I should be making a long drive.

Don, if you have some mechanical experience it can be done at home. Last one I did I pulled grill, radiator and everything was right there. I think being 88 model makes it easier. Some people pull the radiator clip. Thats a little much for me. $400 seems high to me. Maybe mom and pop operation? Good luck
...Rob, you can do it with some small hand tools and a little time. The parts including A/freeze......under $100.00. That's $300.00 their charging you for labor.......WOW. BTW, while you got the Radiator out, take it to your local Radiator shop and have it vatted & cleaned, $$$$$ well spent. Good luck and go for it, let us know how it goes.
