What aux batteries have you had the best luck with?

84 G30-based Mallard.

Auxillary (house) battery is missing. All I have to go off of is that it used ring connectors!

First, what size battery is supposed to be in there?

What type do people have the best luck with? Basic lead/acid? AGM?

Generally, you can't go wrong with good old 6V wet cell golf cart batteries wired in series to provide 12V. The Trojan t105 is the gold standard, but many have had really good luck with Costco and Sams club versions (myself included). As to what is supposed to be there, I don't know.
