The wire itself goes behind the wall where the audio/video control panel is located. It is behind, and above the passenger seat.

You know, we do have a remote for both the dash and outside stereos. And, both remotes are different, while the units themselves are the same. The mystery could be solved!

PROBLEM SLOVED! I was hoping for a more exciting ending to this - like Aliens tracking your moves or better yet O'Bama checking out what your up to.
