Jacksonville Florida to Caistor Centre Ontario Canada. Left Jacksonville at 7am and arrived in Ontario Canada at home at 1 30am that night. AND that was with a detour for a rock slide in West Virginia (about an hour delay). Not sure on mileage,,, all I know is breaks were short and food was eaten at the wheel. We wanted to beat a storm and we did!!

1,001 miles from Kentucky to Fort Myers in our old Discovery. My Mom had just been rushed to the hospital and out of 6 kids, I was the closest!

Somewhere on a rural I-75 stretch at about 3 am I ran across a pickup truck filled with very drunk people hanging out of the windows and yelling and holding what looked like a gun. They were all over the road and once they pulled right in front of me and suddenly stopped right on the driving lane. Then they pulled far ahead and pulled sideways across the lanes so they were broadside to me.

I called 911 and the last time I saw them they were spread eagle on the front of several police cruisers. I gave my statement to the police and left. Nothing ever came from that statement. I wonder what ever happened to them?

That would be 1825 miles in 24 hours for an average speed of 76+. To make that happen you would have had to cruise the entire route at over 80. I sincerely hope you were not in a Class C.

I just did 950 miles from Myrtle Beach to Toronto, but I split the driving over two days. Roughly half each day, and I did all the driving. I suppose I could have gone a bit further each day, but I have to say, I don't think I'd want to drive much further in a day unless my wife was willing to take a turn at the wheel. Some of you have done some very long stretches, was there more than one driver?

It was a weekend trip. Not one day.

I'm at the other end of the spectrum. I have no desire to drive over 300 miles in a day. As a matter of fact I very rarely go over 250. I didn't choose this life style to beat my self up with long days behind the wheel. My mantra has been..hit the road at 10am....be on my 2nd margarita by 3pm.

I have driven from San Diego CA , to Austin Tx in one day multiple times. But that was in a car, and much less difficult. The RV is a beast to control compared to a car.

Canet-Plage, South of France to York, Northern England.

Approx. 1,000 miles including cross-channel ferry.

Took about 18 hours. Towing a caravan (travel-trailer).

Incidentally, we passed through Paris several hours before Princess Diana was killed...

To infinity and beyond in 12 parsecs. ;-)

I used to be destination oriented and in a hurry too. No more!

Be safe out there folks.

Dave, Parsecs are a distance, not a speed. Big controversy on Star Wars forums (at least according to Wiki). Lucas screwed up.

Now back to our regularly scheduled thread.
