You need a 30 amp female to a 15 amp male adapter. Any Wally has them in the RV area.

You can find them at Wal-mart, And any RV store, (Any super store should have 'em in fact). Many campgrounds have 'em in the camp store

I like the dogbone type (Plug, short cord, outlet) as opposed to the Puck type (One solid thing no cord)

Don't be fearful that the amp rating of the RV exceeds the rating of the outlet. Your home circuit breaker will kick off if you try to draw too much power. Your 15 amp outlet will power the converter/charger, the refrigerator, a few lights and a fan. Just don't try the A/C, electric water heater, or other high draw items. Just be aware of what else the home outlet might be powering so you don't go over 15 amps total.

I prefer the dogbone as well. If you have a 20amp circuit connect to that instead. I have a 20amp circuit in my garage that was put in to run a large freezer. We use it for the RV and we can run the AC on low with it.

By the way.. I would like to congratulate the Original Poster who titled this thread.

I see how do i connect 30 amps to 120 volts questions all the time (Plug into a properly wired TT-30 outlet of course)

What the poster really means, is How do I connect 30 amps to 15 amp outlet of course.. But you are, I think, the first one to actually ask the question properly. So Congrats on asking the PROPER question.
