Winnebago 24J Bed

Any comments on the comfort of the rear 49" by 75" mattress. Has anyone added eggshell or foam mattress? Because of it's unusual size I see replacing a problem
Thanks

I have a 24J. The rear bed is not terrible, but could certainly use improvement. I also would be interested in where to find something for a RV radius queen other than a $1500 dollar Select Number mattress.

For our 24J we purchased a memory foam mattress topper at Walmart for about $75 and trimmed to fit. Works very well.

The mattress topper sounds like a good solution. Did you have much trouble trimming it? Did you just use scissors or something else.

I tried both a knife and scissors and due to the squishy nature of the memory foam it was actually quite a PITA to trim. The good news is that if you get the Full size it will fit perfectly in most dimensions and the only thing you'll need to do is radius the corner. It probably won't look pretty when you are done but it will spend most of its time under a sheet so you won't see it.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like I have some shopping to do. It will be a good project to do while waiting for the snow to melt :smile

You can try an electric turkey knife to trim it...
