We are looking at a new 2005 29B Minni. I have two concerns. There are a few in this area for sale. Is there a problem with the 29B that year that I don't know about? There are no 2006's around and the 2007's are coming out.
Also, this motorhome only allows for 1430 lbs of cargo including humans. Is this a problem? It is just my husband and myself and three shelties, but this number is lower than in most class C's. I love the floorplan and everything else seems just right for us. We are trying to make a decision on this but I have a funny feeling I'm missing something here.
Thanks for the help.

Sheltiemom, We have a 2004 29B and we like it very much Have had no problems at all with it after many short trips and a few long distance trips with the two of us and our Black Lab, Yellow Lab and a Sheltie/Terrier mix. I believe they changed the name of this unit to The Outlander or etc. in 2006 but it is still the same unit per say. I would recommend the 29B. JMO.

My wife and I purchased a 2006 Outlook 29B last year and we love it. It's only the two of us, one 60lb dog and a 10 lb cat. This means we saved over 500lbs allocated for passengers (Winnebago includes 6 passengers at 154 lbs each). We tow a Saturn Vue and we still come underweight. The trick is not to overload it. My wife choose this plan for the storage in the bedroom. I wish the kitchen was a tad larger, but that's the trade off. Also, We choose not to have the overhead entertainment center to save weight.
Good luck in your quest!

Welcome to IRV2. We had a 1999 Minnie Winnie and loved it. It was a 31A, no slide, and with 2 adults, 1/4 tank of water, empty waste tanks, food and clothes for two weeks, full fuel tank, we tipped the scales at 13,950#.

The chassis is loaded pretty heavily and needs up graded shocks and antiroll bars. It also needs cab floor insulation as the cab floor and engine cover get hot in the southern climates.

Both problems are correctable. Be sure and take the coach for an extended drive at freeway speeds and see if it handles to suite you.

These issues are not unique to Winnebago, all of the larger and heavier class C's have the same tendencies.
