Winnebago View Panel Handles

My outside door handles in the 2012 Winnebago View are breaking off at the hinge (4 so far). Has anybody else has seen this failure?

That's not good.
Do you mean the handle of the main door or compartment doors? Can you post a picture?

You are opening wrong. You have to pivot towards the hinge side. If you pull straight out you can easily break the hinge side. I had this pointed out during my initial orientation on my 2012 View. I broke one off, when in a hurry, pulled straight out. Put your thumb towards the hinge side and leverage toward the hinge.

One of our outside compartment handles broke on our 2011 Winnebago View. I definitely should have kept the latching mechanism clean & lubricated. Other trick is to press towards the coach before & during pulling the handles. This releases the pressure so the latch can open easier.

When we broke our first handle I bought to have them paint matched and keep a spare in our coach just in case.
