Won't start with ignition key

Hi all
On my 1995 Coachmen Leprechaun its a ford E350 with a 460 engine, when I try to start it with the ignition all I get is a click sound in the solenoid that is up in the engine compartment on right. However if I get under the truck and cross with screwdriver the solenoid that is on the starter it will start right up.
Where do I go from here?

Take a test light (12v) and see if there is battery voltage applied to one of the small posts on the solenoid when the ign switch is turned to the crank position.
If voltage is there, you could have a bad solenoid. If no voltage, then it is not coming from ign switch. Good luck

If that solenoid, you hear, clicks check if voltage is on one side with key off and the voltage on both sides when key is turned to start.

If voltage on one side but not the other, when holding the key in start, the solenoid is bad.

If no voltage, find where it hooks to power.

There is a guy on this fourm, Subford , who will tell you where to look

check for bad connection in wire from upper solenoid to one on starter.fords were noted for a problem here.usually on terminal that fastens to starter

Thanks to all. I tried the test light on battery side it lites, but does not lite on the other side whether trying to start or not.
Now I may have not properly named the part where I hear the click. It is the Intellitec motorhome battery disconnect. I tried to attached photo of what I am talking about.
Meanwhile I will check connections.
any and all help is appreciated

Thanks to all. Bad connections, I assume from lack of use sitting in lowcountry environment. Thanks again
