I am thinking about using the Zep when it cools off here. My coach is not to bad, waxed one side of it last year but have not gotten around to the other side. I did a three stage wax, and it takes all day for one side. So zep sounds easier, and should look better. My concern is, in the texas heat will it start to flake, turn white or yellow? Like I said it does not look too bad so I hate to screw it up. Anyone have problems after 2 or 3 years?

Has anyone used it on a newer coach? I have a 2012 and wondering if i should use it. This sounds good, but I was wondering about long term effects or yellowing.

Why would anyone use a product designed for floors on a motor vehicle of any type, much less one as expensive as a motorhome? This seems as bad as the group on one of the Harley forums using Pledge. Many products are on the market designed for a vehicle finish. On mildly neglected finishes I use Mcguires liquid cleaner wax and once in condition use only Mothers California Gold Carnauba Paste Wax . The end result looks like a fresh clear coat with a mirror finish. Easy? No! Looks great, Most definately. I know its a lot of work but I spread it out over several days.

Zep or Red Max is best considered a weapon of last resort. Application is pretty easy but getting it off can be a job. Painted or newer rigs I highly recommend using traditional methods. Also if you do go this route avoid Blue Beacon Truck Wash or the various roof cleaners which will strip the coating.

My coach is a budget model. Gel coat fiberglass with decals. Been in the weather since it rolled off the builders line. Gel coat would not take or maintain a shine no mater what I used. Five coats of Red Max and everything looked new.

The ZEP works great. Read all of the posts on this site. If you don't agree sometimes it is best to not comment.

Zep is good medicine for badly weathered and oxidized gelcoat finishes, not for full body paint or finishes in good condition.

It will do any amazing job on dull old fiberglass; goes on easily, is modestly priced and lasts for several years. before needing to be stripped and redone.

It does, however, offend people who think an acrylic floor finish should know its place and not try to muscle in among the the higher class paste waxes, compounding finishes and clay bar set.

Viagra was designed as a blood pressure control med. A microwave transmitter was designed for radar until if melted a chocolate bar in an engineers pocket. Model 1911A1 with the slide locked back as a bottle opener.

Plus it makes for a great desert topping.

After I used Zep on my front cap and saw how good it looked I believe it works better than Viagra.

I used Mop and Glow of my other expensive MH roof for years to stop chalking and it worked great, I now use Zep on an even more expensive MH and it works great too. Five minutes and it's good for a year or longer, even though the label does not say anything about MH's

The sides still get waxed.

I showed classic Corvettes for years and guess what we used before every show on top of all the coats of Mcguires....Pledge.

No complaints on my Zep treatment... As already stated, if Carnubu could have shined it I would not have used Zep.

After two years the Zep started to flake in places. I applied a few more coats and it once again looks just great. I use an old Armor All spray bottle to spray it on and then wipe it with a clean rag. You can go back and touch up spots that don't look quite right.
