We're parked across the street from the Seminar B building, you can miss me if you tried. Just look in the Rally Directory and you'll find Seminar B.

It's amazing! Million dollar motor coaches, a dime a dozen! There are motor coaches parked as far as you can see. If I look at row of coaches extending on the NW/SW runway the coaches are lined up to the point where you loose the last ones in line on the horizon! Now that's a lot of coaches and that's just "one" area.

This rally has some 2,200 registered motorhomes attending this event. The rally even has it's own, are you ready !!! : US Post Office! Now that's a rally!

The frustrated maestros are right across the street so we'll always have entertainment here and they play pretty well. In front of our site the vendor tent sits off to the left right on the corner and it appears to be filled with vendors.

We have a great spot out here on the side of the street, 30A and cement under the coach. The Internet connection here on my VZ620 reads 100% in the access manager so everything here is good to go. Water is available but you have to hunt it down. There are honey wagons running around so that's not going to be a problem.

Check back in later and I'll try to keep you up to date on all the action around here. This doesn't look like a rally but it's more like a small town!

We ran the coach over to the wash rack yesterday afternoon and it's nice and sparkly clean. They power washed it and used some type of spot free process. When I returned back to our site I finished drying the coach off with a synthetic chami and it's looking good!

Just as an added touch we went to Lowe's and bought some plants and set them up outside our rig and we also go a Sago palm as a center piece.

The vendor just in front of me sells cleaning supplies and I just tried some of the tire dressing he sells and a metal polish called "Bling". Can't wait to go out and see the tires since they've been drying over night. The finish is going to leave a non-greasy satin shine on the sidewalls.

I toured around in our golf cart and went to see the A tent and it's got thousands of chairs setup in there. I can't believe the scope of this event it's huge!

Visiting the vendor tent yesterday we saw Lewis Mann's display area. His smiling face was on one of his posters and it looks just like his avatar. No mistaking him!

Today promises to be sun shinny and warmer than yesterday and getting up into the mid-seventies. Right now the temperature is a balmy 38 degrees.

Well, It's Friday here and it certainly has been a fun weather day. Thunderstoms started this morning and continued into the mid-morning. While standing under my awning I saw a close in lightening bolt and the thunder clap occured in less than 1 second so the lightning was within 100 yards, very scary. This afternoon it hailed. Then the wind picked up to about 40 MPH and it poured. Right now it's raining ocassionally and there are severe weather fronts in both the north and south counties.

Aside from that it's great. Forcast for tomorrow's low temperature, 35 degrees.

The weather on Saturday morning was again very wet. It rained very hard for about an hour and then less so for more than another hour. The front finally pushed through from North to South East and it started to clear up.

Earlier in the day I thought we were going to get a reprieve so I put down my awing. No such luck - I had to tear everything down and roll up the awing now in a wind driven rain but only got a little wet and that's all.

The field directly across from me was filling up fast with ponding water and the place was quickly turning into a mud bowl.

We gave up toward the late morning after the rain when the wind continued to blow however the sun did make an appearance. after drying off a few things we packed up and said "Good-by" to Brooksville. Until next year!

We got on the road quite easily since I wasn't competing for road space with the other thousand or more rigs that would have left on Sunday and we had a good run over to Mims, FL where I'm writing this.

I gotta tell you the Brooksville event was very well run for the size and scope of the number of rigs and persons that attended this event. I am impressed as to how well it all came together.

Our next FMCA large rally will be in Berrien Springs. The G.L.A.S.S. rally will have somewhat close to 900 rigs I believe so we're looking forward to attending that event.

Charlotte Motor Speedway will also have a large rally and we'll also be there later in the year.

Mike,sorry your Brooksville was rainy...

Maybe we can get some fellow IRV2'ers together during the Charlotte rally as an aside.

I'm planning a trip in April to Daytona and Jupiter, but the soonest I know I'll see IRV2'ers so far is the Freightliner class in May.

Hope all you folks have a nice time in Mims and that Captain Bud's done with his version of the rolling stones.

Hello DriVer,
We were at Brooksville, parked in that muddy field across from you. Didn't know IRV2 was there. We are in the Alpine Owners group, and there was at least 6 of us there. ACE (Alpine Club East) is having a rally in Maine 1st week of Aug, then caravanning to a Charlotte pre-rally, then on to Charlotte. So, if an IRV2 GTG is planned for FMCA/Charlotte, drop a note on the Alpine Owners forum here on IRV2, and you'll probably get some interest.

BTW, once the rain quit on Sat, that mud dried up amazingly fast, and Sunday was a beautiful day. It was awesome how much of that rally went on schedule in spite of having record breaking rain. We had a great time. Entertainment was terrific.

We only live 15 miles from Brooksville, so that's like our backyard. Cool, huh?

Lois & John
