Hi Don & Mary
We did our first rally last spring, which was also an FMCA rally in California. Loved it. Went to a Newmar rally since this and just booked to go to this rally as well. You will have a great time and should be kept very busy going to the seminars. Be prepared with manufactures question you might have and or other issues. They all should be there and there will be hundreds of new coaches to look at and drool over.

I heard it was a mess in the past when it rained heavily. I also heard they made significant improvements to the roads and drainage for this year. I guess we'll see.

Well, based on what I see from the interstate... I wouldn't put my 4WD Jeep in that field after a rain much less an RV. We pass the place every Fri on our way to the BOA in Perry or Centerville/Warner Robbins. It's been staying pretty soggy. Then again maybe it won't rain.

We are registered and just got the package a few days ago. This is also our first "big" rally so we're not too sure what to expect. Our arrival is scheduled for Sunday P.M.
I heard that mud was a problem at Perry last time but the FMCA website has some info about upgrades at the fairground--let's keep our fingers crossed.

Well, we live in Douglas, GA and have attgended FMCA rallies from Redmond, OR all across the country. Not only because I'm a Nat'l Director, but I like the rallies. They put on a good show, the seminars are great, the vendors are very good, and the new coachs keep us from going insame (usually).
Perry, like every other rally I've been to, gets either rain (Ga. rain) or hail storms, or whatever. Driving in fields that have become sodden takes a little bit of skill. DON'T follow in the exact tread where the one in front of you drove. Once you break thru the sod, you will probably get stuck. Good news is that at Perry everyone gets pulled out free.
They have several miles of road added, now, so no one should be more than a little bit off the roads.
Look for you at Perry. Best "Bang" for the rally buck.

Looks like I will be going to Perry and staying with the vendors...
I'll find out tomorrow if there's still space in the vendor camping area from the satellite vendor I would be assisting...
Would simply start toward GA after Daytona's Bike Week....

Looks like the vendor electric sites are sold out,so I made a rez in the "general with electric" sites just now..
Not sure about the details of my arrival just yet as I will be coming in from Daytona Beach the week before, let me do some checking..
I will be working the Mobilsat booth during the show and it'd be easiest to catch me there in the mornings.
