Hello: Well, this ol self taught computer user finally found a useable FMCA Discussion Group!! Stumbled into iRV2 a week or so ago and it's opened a whole new world. GLAD we found ya.
Wife and I started Fulltiming in late 05 and among other things, immediately joined FMCA, although we weren't sure why. Seemed like the thing to do. Sold house and all stuff up in Duluth, MN, and have been on the road ever since in our 06 model, 40ft. MH....AND LOVING IT!!! Been paying dues and reading the FMCA magazine, but was beginning to seriously think about dropping FMCA since other than one or two useful articles in the magazine, there seemed little reason to be a member...(ie., we haven't YET become big fans of large rally gathering experiences, and, until I found this FMCA Forum on iRV2, there didn't seem to be an effective way to communicate with other FMCA members (the official FMCA on-line site is NOT a place that promotes or encourages TWO WAY communication) ). At any rate, if it's O.K., thought we'd tag along on THIS iRV2, FMCA Association Forum for awhile to try and learn more about the FMCA folks. Thanks. Steve & Lynette

Chickadee, I also welcome you aboard the iRV2 site. I've found this the most RV friendly site on the web! You didn't mention your RV make or model, etc. I've found the Newmar portion of iRV2 very valuable in addition to the FMCA connections. So, look through that section too.

Though I love the fellowhip of "groups" my co-pilot wife is the eternal introvert, and finds them taxing, to say the least. But, she has agreed to go to 1 or 2 rallies of FMCA, iRV2 or Newmar Kountry Klub Florida groups this winter. I'm especially looking forward to meeting one or two iRV2 posters who have done some neat things to their coaches. All of these groups are great places to find out about SKPs, PPA, Western Horizon Resorts, etc. and others' experiences as full timers. Hope you find what you need in the many places on iRV2. I try to log on several times per week. Sometimes they are so interesting I often follow a lead for over several hours.

welcome to irv and fmca..i for one like the rally's but i also like the flying j discount and as part of your dues they include a med evacuation service..maybe not to your home but to the nearest hospital and get the coach to you. it is included in the dues..and i never would have thought of making my first rv trip to pei if there had not been a rally there..

Welcome to the IRV2.com forum and F.M.C.A! I don't go to many rally's but do have many of the benefits! I have used there Mail Forwarding for a number of years! And now that we have the computer we can go the the home site and view the Magazine on-line and give the Mags to the VA or other dr's office to help the folks find out about us! There are a lot of good things that come with the membership! Campgrounds and Flying J's and Mail Forwarding are just three and they are way more reasons like Insurance and I am talking about Insurance for the Motorhome and all the coverage you will need to Protect you and your home on wheels!! I am sure there are others that will add other benefits!!
Welcome to the family and Merry Christmas,
