We joined FMCA for the benefits. The idea that they will get members to deliver your coach and your person back to your home, in an emergency, without charge is amazing to us. I have volunteered to be a ''PINCH HIT'' driver to help out when and if they ask me and I will be glad to do this for my fellow motor home family .....
I was there when FMCA started their Forums and I posted some 23 threads on various subjects and items and I was responsible for stating Veterans Corner and more than a few other forum strings. At my last active count on the FMCA FORUMS I had over seventeen thousand hits total on my threads and topics that I started on there. On my reply to ''Tell us about yourself'' I had over four thousand hits on that alone.
Somewhere along the line it seems that I stepped on someones toe and I became the subject of editing of my posts. Some posts were deleted with notification to myself and for seemingly no intelligent reason. About all of my posts were ''delayed'' and they were always edited and sometime re-written for no apparent reason and without notification to myself. Some were simply NEVER POSTED and I was not notified as to the Why of it.
I believe that FMCA is a good orginization and the purpose of it is for the betterment of the motor homing public and I shall stay as an active member of FMCA but I was advised by staff POST NO MORE ON FMCA FORUMS....
It seemed that the problem arose with my inability to understand what staff thought they were thinking concerning certain topics and posts.
(go figure that one out)
It is my understanding that FMCA will increase their annual membership rate by five dollars per year in the near future ....... I will still stay in that orginization.....
GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS AND BRING THEM HOME SAFE AND SOON
GOD BLESS OUR VETS FOR THEIR SERVICE TO THIS GREAT NATION
Seajay the sailor man...

Seajay,
I'm not sure where to start, but I'll try and make it short. You are correct in that FMCA is a very good organization that was formed many, many years ago. It has some great benefits. As with any organizations, there are rules, and there may be some rules that we do not really like, but they are rules. Sort of like the military.

The forum on FMCA is relatively new. They are trying hard to keep it in a perspective that is in the guidelines of their organization. You can't really fault them for trying that. The owner of a forum selects and assigns administrators and moderators. It is apparent that there was some "bad blood" that was spilled. It is unfortunate, because I really enjoyed reading 99 and 99/100 percent of what you posted. However, the administrators and moderators of that forum really believe in what they are doing.

It's time to let bygones be bygones. FMCA is a great forum and serves the needs of their forum members. You have come to a great forum that serves the needs of many types of "campers."

I'm posting this reply because you and I have struck up an Internet/email friendship over the past several months. I hope you do not take offense at my post. I'll be surprised if the moderators leave this on this thread on the forum. Remember - no name calling.

As we are aware that postings here or elsewhere become open public in the internet. Each forum monitors threads and postings for items they do not want to be associated with. I'm careful about what I say here and I appreciate iRV2 for the priviledge to post.

Wayne, I've got to agree here. SeaJay, I also enjoy your postings, but it's time to let the sleeping dogs lie.

Don't feel bad

I was recently banned from the Heartland Owner's Forum for being critical about the problems I've had with my Big Horn.

IMHO: Their loss as I had & have many good ideas to help others with less experience.

BTW: I can read the forum but can't add comments or see attachments or pictures.

I still have this forum & RV.Net where I can fully participate.

Eh!

We need to be careful and tactful about how we express issues and problems. Not for bashing. People want a friendly, informative and enjoyable place to visit. The experience each of us have while on, determine if we'll be back and desire to participate.

I want it understood that there are no hard feelings from myself toward FMCA for their actions taken concerning myself and their forums. If you have read my threads you will notice that I usually ''TALK MORE THAN I LISTEN'' and a lot of the time ''I DONT KNOW WHEN NOT TO TALK''...... Such is life but this is part of my personality. I truly believe that FMCA is a good orginization lead by well meaning people. If you will look at their forums you will see many threads started by myself and some of them are among the most popular threads on their forums. I have many friends on the FMCA forums and I would love to see them come over to IRV2 and register and be part of this great family.
''NUFF SAID'' ....... I love it here and you will probably soon wish they would kick my sorry ( ! ) off this forum also...................
Seajay the sailor man
God bless our troops and bring them home soon and safe
God bless our vets for their service to this great nation......

I think if the forums just started a topic "stand up comedy" Sea Jay's threads would all be appropriate there.

They would also have to start one titled "Bad Day At Bedrock," or something similar.

Some of us who felt over moderated on RV.net and on FMCA are now quite happy and seeking like minded on a new forum. Freedom Of The Road
Come on over, browse around, join, & post something. We frown on over moderation and welcome all topics.
