Northeast Rally Golf Tournament?

I was reading that the NEAR has a golf function this year at Do alot of people go off golfing? I am guessing they arrange a deal with the course fees?
I just started golfing and have played a total of nine holes. First time I was ever on a course. I only hit the ball off the fairway twice so I was very proud of myself. Now I am trying to figure out if I should bring my clubs or would I be out of place with the more advanced players?

Some tournaments require a registered handicap in order to register. As a recreational event I doubt that would be the case. I would assume if you pay-you-can-play.

OK Thanks. I will bring my clubs such as they are and play it by ear. I would hate to hold people up on the course because of my lack of skill. I did a search for fmca golf tourneys and found one rally a few years back that said all skill levels are welcome. So maybe I would be good to go. I have no idea what I would even score... I'll bet a 150 lol
It's been too hot for anyone to take me out here, so I have been chipping in the backyard or going to the range.

I'll check at the captain's meeting on Monday. I'll e-mail you if there is any expectation of skill level. I would assume that all are welcome and would set up tee times based on skill with the most skilled players going first so you wouldn't hold people up.

Ok, so here's the scoop on the golfing. No it doesn't matter about skill level. Second they are using a scatter system. Everyone will start at different holes on the course and go until they complete the 18. Hope that helps and I'll see you at the rally. I'll be manning the coffee and donuts. If there are no donuts left when you get there it could be that I took them in to protective custody!

Dan...( that's my story and I'm sticking to it! )
