Is it a hassel to stage and get parked. Please let me know what your experince has been so I can set up plans.I am still working so I have to plan ahead.

I've only been one time (last year), but I had no trouble with the parking, staging, etc. When you send in your money and information as to how many, what you want (full hook-up, electric only, etc.), thay will send you a packet with all the information you'll need. I just entered the gate and volunteers guided me to my parking area, with no problem. We asked for electric and a handicapp spot......no trouble at all. We are planning on going in March, as well.

There are a number of us attending. I know I'll be there and I believe that Ed Gray will be there too!

I'm going to setup a Calendar Appointment at the bottom of the Main Forum page. If you are going to the Perry FMCA Rally in March, Please RSVP. If we know who is coming, it is possible to meet in a pre-rally parking area and go in as a group.

Look for the Entry in:
Upcoming Events for the Next 120 Day(s)

Let's keep this post going and I'll point to this conversation from the Calendar Entry.

Please Note:
Family Motor Coach Association has announced that it will welcome not only motorhome owners but also owners of other types of self-contained RVs when the group meets in Perry, Georgia, in March 2011.

Piece of cake. When you register, you will get cards sent to you giving you an arrival day and time. The time is a window so you do not have to arrive exactly at say 1PM. You put the cards in your windshield before you arrive at the facility and then the parking crew will direct you from there. You pick what kind of parking you want such as full generator where you can run your generator 24 hours/day. There is no generator where you can't run it. There will be full electric at an additional cost. There is also handicap parking.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to call the FMCA office at 800.543.3622. They are very helpful.

We certainly hope that you can join us this year. The last time we went to Perry we got our cards and the team leader would be ID'ed by name and a coach count. So if we had a leader named Petro he would be coach 1 of 8. The next guys would be 2 of 8 and so on. We did have to split the group to electric and non-electric and they even accommodated that. We were parked across the street from one another 1/2 in electric and the other half in the field. It worked out just fine. All you really have to do is hook up with a good parker.

We got to the Alburqurque convention last March a day early due to bad weather in Colorado and had no problems even with an early arrival. We parked in the staging area that day and nite, and moved to our spot in the day time generator use section the following morning.

One thing to remember....... Water Full and Holding Tanks empty on arrival.
Then just enjoy yourself! If you get a chance stop by the Chapter Fair. There are a number of new chapters that may be of interest.

Its nice to put a face on a name and we look forward to meeting some of our new IRV2 friends since it is open to 5th wheels and travel trailers this year.
