Hello.. OK I am looking for road side assistance. I am leaning to Coach-Net.
Looking at the FMCA website it says that roadside assistance is one of the benefits. I don't understand? If Coach-Net is around $100 per year and FMCA is $50 per year? How does this work? Or is the roadside assistance in addition to the $50 that FMCA collects?

Very confusing the websites are...

You do not get Coach Net service with the FMCA membership. Allegedly you get a price break if you're a FMCA member if you choose to sign up Coach Net.

Thanks. I guess the roadside discount with Coach-Net is similar to what Winnebagos WIT is. Do any of you know how much of a discount?

I guess I need to look into more options.

Is Coach-Net as bad as Good Sam with all the junk mail? That is a big turn off for me. Years ago I was a Good Sam member and basically dropped them because the amount of junk mail (waste) that they sent.

Thanks for your time.

The FMCA website directs you to the Coach Net website. Apparently there is no discount.

I believe if you call CoachNet and give them your FMCA number the first year you will get a discount. The regular rates are $109.00 & $119.00 per year. Excellent road service. You will not get any junk mail from CoachNet.

I haven't received any junk mail from Coach Net after joining 6 months ago. Agree about Good Sam. I stopped membership several years ago and continue to get a good amount of junk mail from Good Sam. If GS stopped spending all that money on mail no one wants, maybe it could lower prices or expand services.

I'm not even a member of Good Sam and I am inundated with junk mail from them.
I went with Coach-Net and would never consider GS just because of the junk mail. Any outfit that still advertises that way is not focused on their core services.
Same with AARP.

There is a Coachnet discount at time of checkout for FMCA members. They ask for your FMCA member # and then it automatically appears before billing. It is not large, though. It's been a few months and many senior moments but I think the discount was around 10% (could be just an extra month or 2 of "free" assistance).

I called Coach-Net and for first year members of FMCA the cost for the Gold Membership is $89.50 and the Platinum is $99.50.

I signed up last year at the Tampa Super Show and got 3 years for about $240. When you call them ask for discounts and you may get them. Everyone is hungry for new bus. these days. And by the way their service is great and no junk mail. The only junk mail I get is from Elkhartjim( LOL )

While at a rv park near Denver Co., they had a tow truck rodeo. I had several talks with the tow truck drivers. The bottom line is they much pre-fer Coach Net as they pay more and are a lot easier to deal with. I just switched to Coach Net from Good Sam. Happy travels

I used to drive a heavy duty wrecker and have AAA used to pay us real good but that was years ago.

Should you ever need a tow more than just a couple miles, especially if getting towed down the highwy, INSIST THAT THE DRIVESHAFT GETS DROPPED ON A FRONT ENGINE, OR THE AXLES OF A DIESEL PUSHER GET PULLED!!!! Unless the coach is going on a Landoll trailer, even in neutral, the driveshaft or axles on a pusher will have everybody in the transmission spinning without lubrication and can cost thousands in repairs.
