I probably won't return again.
Thank goodness for the people I knew there and those I met for the first time, without them it would have been a total washout. Most of the people were just fantastic. I had a great pre rally.

Now for the bad.

People on the west runway had the generators cranking. So many didn't have stacks or hoses it made for some very bad air quality. I lasted one night and forked over the extra 165 for electric. I had no choice. I am used to dog shows and dry camping with generators but at dog shows they require stacks or hoses and are spaced better. Brooksville had three rows across the runway so the density of RV's was too much for generator use.
So off to the Electric area. They had the first rows set up much too close. If there was ever a fire it would have been a fiasco. The rear rows were spaced with plenty of room to evacuate. I have a funny feeling they packed everyone in like that to increase revenue from the honey truck as many did not want to shoehorn their rigs back in if they drove to the dump station.

Seminar D: They put it in the same tent as the vendors. Noise level from the vendor area was loud enough that the questions had to be repeated relay style up to the speaker.

They ran out of ice cream.. had to bring in more. Guess the DQ people can't count. The rep was very abrupt with people and was telling everyone in line that they did it on purpose so everyone would have fresh ice cream and not mush. Then he was saying "what do you want for free". Free he says lol .....out of the goodness of DQ's heart... You have to want ice cream pretty badly to stand around in line for 20 minutes for a small sandwich.

Entertainment: Chicago was on a High School level for acting. I enjoyed it but nobody could hear a thing they were saying as the sound system was too loud on the music and the cast was overpowered by the music. I was in the minority, based on the people I talked to, that liked it. They tried hard and a few of the cast did a really good job considering.

Lucille Ball and Desi impersonators were terrible. Lucy wasn't bad but Desi should find another line of work. One volunteer was going to try to seat me with my chapter up front in the volunteer section, but another yelled at me when I went to sit with them as I didn't have a ribbon on me. She sent me to sit in the back. Not a nice lady. She could have been more diplomatic. Then they kicked out a handicapped guy who was seated out of the way next to the tent wall. Claimed he was in the fire lane. There was plenty of room around him. He left. I got up and left along with many others soon after as we got disgusted with both the terrible performance and the horrible sound.

Big Band Concert: GREAT .. I loved it. up until the point where the crew started removing the metal chairs 10 minutes before the band was finished. They even made the people sitting in the back move so they could pick up. They had the diesel bobkat with the forks picking up the chairs. The noise was horrendous. I was at a loss for words. Rude is the nicest word I can think of. To think I spent 129 for parking and 165 for electricity with the expectation of some decent nights of entertainment.. Not to mention the cost of coming down for it from Connecticut.

After that wonderful time I had in Vermont last July this was a BIG disappointment.

I worked during the day and during the evening I stayed in my rig or walked Ms. Roxy.

Sorry you missed the Thursday 2:00pm seminar in E about MPGs. There were about 60 people in the building and I believe that we had a good time.

I would have liked to have met you .... I had new iRV2 stickers to hand out. I believe I gave out 6 stickers. If you walked through the vendor tent, you probably saw me.

The very BEST upside of the SEA Rally was the weather. I've been to 5 of these events and by far this was the best.

Hi Driver,
I meant to look for you but got so busy I forgot all about it. I didn't have wifi there so was out of the loop for a while.
I was in the vendor tent about 6 times. I was off to dip my toes in the Gulf on Thursday afternoon as I had never been over the Gulf side before.
The weather was nice.
Safe travels,
ctcamper
