Best workcamping experience you've had?

What has been your favorite workcamping experience to date?

What did you like about the facility, the job/tasks, or the perks?

What places do you have in mind for future volunteer opportunities, when the stars align right?

What have been your favorite RVing VOLUNTEERING experiences?

Thanks!

Our favorite volunteer position was Oregon Islands NWR at Haystack Rock, Cannon Beach, OR. It is such a beautiful location and the work on the beach was so interesting and with shifting sand was never the same and the minus tides were amazing with what revealed.
Our site was provided by the state at Ecola SP overlooking the Pacific in old growth Sitka Spruce, a million dollar view. It doesn't get any better than that.

Autumnwoods RV Park. It's in Rochester MN, and the weather so far has been much more tolerable than what we experienced before at a workamping job in the Arkansas Ozarks or at one in lower AL.

This park caters to the Mayo Clinic patients, so its not a resort, and that's fine with us. DW works reservations and cleans shower/restroom, while I work outside mainly mowing/trimming/light maintenance. The owner lives on site but is so easy to work with, there is no stress or drama. We've been asked to return here again next year and we've said yes in a heartbeat.

Now if we could find something similar down south during the winter season that would be a win win.

Sounds ideal! I actually have a complicated medical condition so I may end up at Mayo at some point. I will try to check and see if you are all still there if we visit :-)

We'll be here til mid October (unless winter rears its ugly head sooner, we don't do snow anymore!!!). I've told the boss if snow is imminent, we're gone!.
