Cedar Breaks National Monument is looking for several enthusiastic and motivated campground hosts to help us with all aspects of our campground operation. Volunteers will be required to assist with campround operations including cleaning restrooms. For those interested, volunteers may also get involved with interpretive education programs, fee collection, information desk and visitor center, maintenance, resource management projects and special park events.

DESCRIPTION:The Cedar Breaks campground is generally open from June through September. The campground has 28 sites available on a first come-first served basis. There is a self-pay station at the entrance. There is running water available and flushing toilets for campers. The park provides and pays all utility costs for camp hosts hookups (water, sewer, electricity, propane) and also pays a small daily stipend.

LOCATION: Cedar Breaks is located about 22 miles east of Cedar City, UT, about 70 miles north of Zion National Park, and about 60 miles west of Bryce Canyon National Park. The park features a spectacular geologic amphitheater that is more than three miles across and over 2000 feet deep. The visitor center, campground, hiking trails, employee housing and the accessible portions of the park are over 10,000 feet in elevation. Yearly visitation averages 570,000 people, or about 350 a day during the summer. Summer (June - August), daytime temperatures avarage 72 degrees and nighttime temperatures drop to about 43.

This is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY for the right volunteers to live in a beautiful place, and work with a dedicated (and fun) staff. One of our volunteer couples stayed for over 10 seasons... so apply now!!
