Everglades National Park -Shark Valley VC

We're considering volunteering at the Everglades this winter. Does anyone have any experience working in this park?

No, but we just applied through volunteer.gov for winter 2015. Let us know how it goes for you.

We rented a cabin twenty years ago in the park. Very pretty, however at dusk the Mosquitoes and No see ums were so bad that no one could go outside. It was really bad and folks that got caught outside had to run for it and many were screaming.

Check that out first.

Try Kirk and his website here: Home

He has volunteered there and I'm sure would be glad to share his experiences.

He is a real nice guy.
