I didn't know you used RVer's through the summer. I thought you only used them in the fall, till Xmas.

We begin onboarding our Fall associates the first of September, and hiring ramps up in October until we are full. We did hire a few associates to work with us in Coffeyville this summer but those were an exception to the rule.

I can't work because I am disabled but I have to give you an "A" for your efforts. Your posts are always popping up on multiple RV forums.

Do you get paid by each person that signs up? Just kidding.

Good Job.

I only WISH I got paid by the person! I'd be retired already instead of counting down the days (969 but who is counting.....). Then again, I do love my job - I get paid for talking/emailing/texting great campers all day!

With the name dog folks, I'm thinking you have and/or love dogs (quick mind there huh!) - I have 7 rescues - mostly terriers with a Chihuahua & a "heaven only knows" thrown in there. I can only imagine how they are going to view our traveling philosophy once we get to day 970!

I seen on the network news that amazon was hiring 7,000 new workers.
Is this fall part of the 7,000 or are some of the 7,000 full time?

The 7,000 will be full time - we are opening up quite a few new fulfillment centers this year. In Texas & California we're opening multiples this fall.

For our peak season, between CamperForce associates and temporary associates we will hire 50,000+ this year.

Thanks! I AM enthusiastic about my job. I've been in recruiting in lots of different industries, lots of different roles and for over 25 years and I still get up every day wondering how much fun I'm going to wring from the day (as long as I've had my vat of coffee that is!)

Multiples in TX and CA? Sounds like a CamperForce expansion may be in the offing!

I looked into this but the work seems very arduous. Maybe we're just sissies but standing for 10 hours a day sounds like what I just left--nursing--and made lots more money at it! I understand it isn't rocket science so just kidding but we aren't going to apply after all though I think the pay is good for what it is, just too hard for these old folks.

I'd like to know more info on the Tx positions, and type of work. I spend about 6 + months there each year. Sounds interesting.

I agree, as I am disabled, and the job is not for everybody, but many folks return there year after year. Amazon makes no bones about it. It is demanding. They will tell you precisely what you are getting into as they went you to be successful and stay the season.

Thanks again everyone for your comments. At this point in time only 3 of our facilities use the CamperForce program. This is because most of our fulfillment centers are near larger cities and we don't have the issues finding workers for our peak season that we do in small rural towns.

It is doubtful we will expand the program into Texas though Northern CA is a possibility, we'll just need to see what the labor supply is as we go through peak this year. Sorry to disappoint!
