We are a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids ages 3, 8 and 10. I (the husband) has around 20 hours a week to spare to volunteer at a campground in exchange for a site. Does anyone know of places that I could apply that would take a family but only allowing the husband to volunteer work? Thanks in advance!

Working 20 hours MAY be a little iffy (many state parks want at least 24), but just one working is doable. I recommend that you think of which state you would like, then go to their parks and recreation web site. From there you should be directed to their volunteer program and possibly which parks have needs at any particular time. I also recommend that you call the state coordinator and ask whatever questions you might have and the SC may be able to guide you to a park with needs that will also match your requirements.
