Park of the Sierras

I was volunteering at Elings Park in Santa Barbara California when I spotted a posting for a Workcamp position as Assistant Park Manager at Park of the Sierra. Sent a resume, called to make sure it was received and drove 4 hours to interview. The result was great! I started the job on August 1st. My wife and I stayed here last year for a month and loved the place.

It is nestled in the woods about 25 miles from Yosemite bordered by the Coarsegold Creek and is just beautiful, peaceful and very private.

I have attached of the view from my chair while grilling some steak and a picture of the site.

We stayed there about a year ago. Very nice park, we had a spot overlooking a river. I wouldn't mind owning a lot there. Have fun, maybe I will come visit.

What and where is Elings Park? Never heard of it.

Elings Park is in Santa Barbara California and it is quite large. It's off the 101 freeway about half way to the beach. It has 3 baseball fields, two soccer fields, a BMX dirt track, para gliding, hang gliding and two elevated areas for weddings. There is always something going on there. Santa Barbara is beautiful but the way they have the sites set up for the host leaves no privacy at all. I would go back if they moved the sites to a more private location but not until then. Below are a couple of pictures.
