Volunteer.gov posted a position in Spearfish last week at the historic fish hatchery. Crazy Horse Memorial is always looking for workampers

Tell anyone you RV and want to help out. Biker community generally loves the RV crowd, esp if vets are invloved.

Jane Fonda sympathisers not included........

We did the fish hatchery all last summer. it is a volunteer gig in exchange for a pretty nice campsite at the spearfish city campground. We enjoyed it. Wish the wifi at the campground worked better. I could have made it better but the campground host was unbending (rhymes with ditch) in letting me do some simple things to make it better for all and told me i would have to pay for my own hotspot/data or to use the wifi sitting at the picnic table outside the office. Of course the host could use the campground wifi with no issues and they really did not care if anyone else could. I was told in may they were working on it. They were telling me the same thing when we left in sept. Other than that a really nice site and volunteering at the hatchery was great. Really nice people at the hatchery.

When the rally comes to town sites all over the area get very costly. Every empty patch of grass gets used by campers. I am sure there is temp paid work to do but any money made is going straight to paying for a campsite.

Workamper.com usually has a bunch of opportunities listed for the Black Hills area, you shouldn’t have trouble finding something. You do have to be a member to see their listings.

Custer State Park has volunteers with FHU's, they may have late openings.

Be careful of some of the private RV parks, some have a bad reputation toward workampers.

Unfortunately that site has so little feed back, it’s almost useless.
