My sister-in-law did this for several years. They did not have an RV though and stayed in the 'company' supplied housing (usually a furnished apt). She is a RN with ER and other advanced certifications/experience. She found there were no shortages of openings for her. Most of the assignments were for 3-4 months. They traveled all around the country while doing this and had a ball.
Now the negatives.... She decided to give it up and settle down after a few years of traveling. Some of the reasons were; the hassle of getting the city/hospital she wanted at the time she wanted, many of the hospitals had tests that had to be passed before she could get the job, every hospital had different procedures that had to be learned, just about all the assignments were nights/holidays/weekends.
