Ranger, needs some assistance. Dw is working at Yellowstone NP this spring and summer. Am interested in Voluntering with the NP. The website information is circular and not too user friendly.

Could you put me in touch in the right direction? Is there an information (not automated Menu) telephone contact.? Sincerely, Bob Cheek

Are you looking for volunteer information for NPS in general or specifically for Yellowstone?

The best way to find NPS volunteer opportunities is at nps.gov/volunteer and search by park or state. From there you will find a list of opportunities and the appropriate contacts for each (usually each park has a volunteer coordinator that can be a lot of help).

For looking into opportunities at Yellowstone, contact the park via the number on their website, www.nps.gov/yell (it's toward the bottom), and ask for the volunteer coordinator. I'd recommend calling M-F as many of these positions are administrative and don't work weekends.

I hope this helps.
