Volunteering in Ocala State Park, Fl.

Have any of you Volunteered at Ocala State forest in Florida? What are the volunteer sites like? The lady that interviewed me told me that all of them are not full hookup. That made DW wrinkle her nose.

Maybe you could be a Host in the Ocala National forest?
Looks like they have some Full Hook up's in their Salt Springs campground.

Are you saying they can't guarantee full hook up? Not sure why your wife would be wrinkling her nose, unless she's the one making the tank run to the dump station every 2 or 3 days

14 volunteering positions in the last 6 years all had full hookups. A couple of the sites had holding tanks that were pumped as needed where we had to conserve and not use our Splendidi but W&D were provided off site. If we're making a several month commitment there is no way I'm hitching up every week to drive to a dump.

We hosted there last year , the site we where at did not have water or electric but the did give us a generator to us and they kept us in water. Would not do it again at that site. There are a few that do have full hookups. I would make sure you know what your getting before you go.

In the past we volunteered in several Florida State Parks and in only one (Koreshan State Historic Site) did we have a FHU site. We had water and electric but had to lug a blue boy and use the shower house.
